The capital of Hungary is located in the central northern section of the country and is divided by the Danube River, which separates the Buda side from the Pest side. Buda is hillier with beautiful scenery (ex. Gellért hill) whereas Pest is mostly flat with a tons of things to do during the day and night.

In Budapest you can get a taste of sights, museums, thermal baths, nightlife and a lot more. You can never get bored of this amazing city as every age can find something to do here.

We highly reccommend you to try out tasty hungarian cuisine, as it is unique in every way.

A lot of Hollywood stars have visited Budapest like Bruce Willis, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence, Macklemore and a lot more. They were all mesmerized by the city and they often come back to blow off some steam.

As mentioned, there are a lot of thing to do in Budapest. Here is a list of a few places that are worth checking out:

  • The Budapest Zoo – This zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the world. You can spend a whole day here without noticing it.
  • The Buda Castle district – You can see almost the whole city from here, and you can visit Fishermans Bastion, Buda Castle and Mathias Church.
  • The Parliament – The Hungarian Parliament is the third biggest parliament in the world, which also houses the oldest crown jewels in the world. If you are an EU citizen you can visit the building for free.
  • Margaret Island – Located in the middle of the city, Margaret island is a green spot where you can rest after a long day. You can find the Palatinus thermal bath here along with beautiful flowers and a calm atmosphere compared to the crowded city.
  • Stephen’s Basilica – It is named after the first king of Hungary. You can climb to the top, and enjoy the scenic views it offers.
